I think they're trying to shake off the Watchtower...
by gingerbread inwe had another couple over this weekend.
after taking a reasonable hike in the woods, we came back to the house, made a fire and began to talk a bit.
these folks are long time friends of ours and are (like us) slowly easing out of the kingdom hall.

I've not even left yet and I still feel the pull mentally. . .
It's horrible isn't it?
Although the comments about witness friendships being conditional are true, i feel that ALL friendships are conditional to a certain extent, if we were friends but i slagged off your other half or i was racist, i dont suppose we'd be friends for long!
Nontheless, ive been reminded recently that these life altering changes we're making take TIME. Let life take its course...
And likewise, if youre in the uk within spitting distance of yorkshire, youve got one extra friend here...

should I tell the CO my doubts?
by Captain Blithering inits possible i might be asked by the co to work with him today.
hes gonna want to know why i'm holding myself back.
i'm itching to tell him about my doubts (only about the new light, how i cant get my head around how the hs would direct us to believe falsehoods for decades, not about everything, that'd be suicide!

Problem addict - that's interesting , I certainly would be willing to take some hassle if it would be instrumental in helping the other half wake up. . . Thanks for posting , and best of luck !

Purpose of witnessing and preaching?
by leaving_quietly in1 timothy 2:1-7. first of all, then, i urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made concerning all sorts of men, 2 concerning kings and all those who are in high positions, so that we may go on leading a calm and quiet life with complete godly devotion and seriousness.
3 this is fine and acceptable in the sight of our savior, god, 4 whose will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.
5 for there is one god, and one mediator between god and men, a man, christ jesus, 6 who gave himself a corresponding ransom for allthis is what is to be witnessed to in its own due time.

Planting Seeds--Plants Do Not Grow Overnight
by blondie ini see some post here that want family and friends to see ttatt immediately.. i'm a gardener, a serious one.
we make sure we put in an area that gets sun, check the soil each year, put in compost and other amendments, make sure we plant seeds compatible with the ones next to them, plant far enough apart, proper amount of water.
everything can be perfect but when i go out the day after planting...nothing has broken through yet.

Hah, yep, my ministry is VERY basic right now!! Thanks Robert for those videos, I'll definitely check them out. I don't know if I can resist telling people. Or at least asking interesting questions. These are people I care about, I really wanna help them think for themselves... I know I've got to be careful for now. Thanks for the advice everyone. sorry for rehashing old stuff that's been covered many times before..
